Education Minister takes stand in religious-dogma controversy

Biology class is no place for B.C. students to learn creationism, Education Minister Authur Charbonneau said yesterday, and the provincial curriculum guide and a series of ministerial orders have been revised accordingly.

"The science classroom is not the place to provide instruciton or require discussions of religious dogma or religious-belief systems," Mr. Charbonneau said in a telephone interview from Kamloops. The new polociy means the school board in Abbostford B.C. which has been mired in controversy over the teaching of so-called creation science since early this year, will have until Sept 15 to bring its curriculum policy in line with the provincial guidelines. Creation science reflects Christian beliefs and claims to provide scientific proof for biblical assertions such as the Earth being created in seven days. It has been taught alongside evolution theory in Abbotsford schools since 1983.

Evidently, school is no place for God. Even if He DID create the heavens and the earth! He is still not welcome in classrooms. Teaching creaion must be rejected because the wicked reject the possibility that God did indeed create the heavens and the earth. Why do wicked, God rejecting men try to do such things?

The wicked wish to remove anything that relates to God from our schools and government. If God can be removed then just maybe their conscience will be stilled. This is necessary to the mind of the lost if they are to have any peace here on earth. Their problem is if God exists then there is a issue with eternal accountability. In order to remove the issue of being accountable to God they choose to remove their belief in God. You see if God exists then men are accountable to Him. Since wicked men do not wish to even entertain the possibility of accountability, they will throw all their beliefs behind a system that eliminates the need for God. Evolution provides an escape for the accountability issue and is the bed-partner with atheism.

Despite the scientific facts, creationism must be rejected and called metaphysics/religion because if it is true then the accountability issue must be addressed. Try hunting down an avid evolutionist and asking him about accountability to God....

What does the Bible say? Did God create the heavens and the earth? Here are some verses that talk about God's creation:

Mark 10:6

6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.

Mark 13:19

19 For [in] those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be.

Romans 1:20

20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

Romans 8:22

22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

2 Peter 3:4

4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as [they were] from the beginning of the creation.

Revelation 3:14

14. And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;

1. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

32 For ask now of the days that are past, which were before thee, since the day that God created man upon the earth, and [ask] from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been [any such thing] as this great thing [is], or hath been heard like it?

Psalms 104:30

30 Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth.

Psalms 148:5

5 Let them praise the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created.

Isaiah 40:26

26 Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these [things], that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that [he is] strong in power; not one faileth.

Isaiah 42:5

5. Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:

Isaiah 43:7

7 [Even] every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.

Isaiah 45:12

12 I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, [even] my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded.

Isaiah 45:18

18 For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I [am] the LORD; and [there is] none else.

Ezekiel 28:13

13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone [was] thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.

Ezekiel 28:15

15 Thou [wast] perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

Malachi 2:10

10. Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers?

3 Forbidding to marry, [and commanding] to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

Revelation 4:11

11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

Revelation 10:6

6 And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:

Quite a list of Bible verses isn't it? I think it would be safe to say that the Bible clearly states that God created the heavens and the earth. However the 'theory' of evolution states otherwise. Evolution states that random particles in space through chance with time and energy created all things. Life came out of non-life. The enormously complex DNA, RNA just happened by chance. If a person really thinks about what evolution is saying they would be out of their mind to believe those lies. The choice must be made between CHANCE or GOD. The God rejector will choose chance because he doesn't want to be accountable to God. However, the only logical choice is that God created the heavens and earth...and yes we are all accountable to Him! It takes far more faith to believe that the human body came together by chance and random processes than it does to believe that an all knowing God created man's body.

Another problem with evolution is that it is a direct attack aimed at God and His Word, the Bible. If the lies of evolution are true then the Bible is useless and can be thrown into the trash can. If a person really believes evolution then he MUST reject the Bible. The Bible clearly states that God created the heavens and earth in six days and rested on the seventh. Evolution denies all that and waves the 'magic wand' of millions of years to try to prove its ridiculous points.

Does evolution suprise God? No, He even wrote about this in His Word, the Bible. See the following verses:

Romans 1

19. Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed [it] unto them.

20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified [him] not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

Notice verse 20. God has made men without excuse because of what He has written in their hearts. For those who reject the obvious God calls them fools in verse 22.

God gives clear warning that so-called 'science' will be used to deceive. Evolution is nothing more than a pack of lies dressed up to look 'scientific'. It selectively looks at only the information that furthers its crazy theories. Information is omitted & twisted in order to be added into the 'theory' of evolution. If you don't believe those statements then try digging a bit about piltdown man. He was just one of the many hoax's of evolution.

Below is God's clear warning:

Colossians 2

8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

In the last days deception will cover the world like a blanket. Only those who have accepted the Lord Jesus and read/obey the Scriptures are safe from deceptions.

Next lets look at the practical implications of believing in evolution or creation. One view adds a purpose to life and gives value to the living. The other view removes purpose and value to life:

Biblical Creation:

GOD:

He is a personal being who exists apart from His creation. He designed, created, and now maintains the universe by His almighty power.

PURPOSE IN LIFE:

To receive forgiveness of sins and come into a personal relationship with God. God has a plan and a purpose for each individual.

RELIGION:

Christianity is not man trying to reach God. Christianity is God's intervention in human history to save lost mankind.

SALVATION:

The Lord Jesus died on the cross and paid for sin and purchased a place in heaven which He offers as a free gift. Anyone may receive it.

HELL:

...is for those who reject God's love gift of forgiveness and choose to pay the penalty for their sins themselves.

Colossians 1

16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether [they be] thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

Humanistic Evolution:

GOD:

He does not exist. Chance is the creator and designer of the universe. Matter always existed or came into being from nothing. (now that is science isn't it!!!!!!)

PURPOSE IN LIFE:

Live and love for today and enjoy life now because after death the future is uncertain. The goal is personal fulfillment and satisfaction in life.

RELIGION:

Religions are created by man to satisfy social, environmental and emotional needs. Only the weak need it.

SALVATION:

Sin is not a problem. Salvation is not needed since God does not exist. Each person is responsible for his own life and does not have to answer to a 'God'.

HELL:

A place of eternal torment does not exist. There is no Holy God who demands punishment for sin.

There is quite a few moral differences between the beliefs of creation and evolution. On the one hand a person has value and purpose to life and on the other a person is just 'dust in the wind'. Belief in evolution is an escape for those who wish to reject God. We have seen the results of this belief system in the 1900's. The atheistic communists in China and Russia have murdered over 40 million people. This was no big deal to them as those people were just dust and worthless in their eyes. Also, in this century, abortion has murdered countless millions of innocent children. If life has no value then just rename the baby to a fetus and kill the unwanted fetus. That is the easy way to abort (kill) a baby. Of course accountability to God is not even considered. We are living today in the results of a belief in the lies of evolution. Evolution removes value and purpose to life. The living become expendable and their value is cheap.

Belief in creation by God does the exact opposite! God places great value to life because He became a man (Jesus) to die a horrible death on the cross with the goal of saving lost mankind. God wants people to repent and accept His love gift of salvation and eternal life. God wants people to come and live forever in heaven with Himself. However, He does not force anyone to make that choice. If a person decides to reject God and His salvation then God will honor that choice. Evolution is a good way for a person to reject God and His salvation.

Soon the Lord Jesus will return to earth. He clearly warned His people to be alert for deceptions. We are not to be suprised as deceivers and deceptions prosper in these closing days before the return of our Lord.

Luke 21

28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

SINNERS PRAYER

Lord Jesus, I admit that I am a sinner and I ask You to come into my life to forgive and save me. I now receive You as my Saviour (trusting in You ALONE to save me) and my Lord (making You my Master and comitting my life to You).
