Our Authority in the Name of Jesus

"And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people" (Mathew 4:23).

"Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have 1.fully preached the gospel of 2a.Christ" (Romans 15:19).

"Behold, I give unto you power (4.authority) to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you" (Luke 10:19).

*Note*: The uttermost parts of the earth have not been reached by the full presentation of the gospel.

"There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all 6.one in Christ Jesus" (Galatians 3:28).

"Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respector of persons" (Acts 10:34):

5.Same: "1. Being the very one; identical. 2. Similar in kind, quality, quantity, or degree. 3. Conforming in every detail: according to the same rules as before" (American Heritage Dictionary).

6.One: "1. Being a single entity, unit, object, or being. 2. Characterized by unity; undivided: They spoke with one voice" (American Heritage Dictionary).

"And He said unto them, 7.Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs will follow them that believe; in My Name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover"(Mark 16:15-18).

"Ye have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should 7.go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in My Name, He may give it you"(John 15:16).

*Note*: Who is going to finish preaching the full gospel, throughout all the world?

"Surely He hath 9.borne our griefs, and 10.carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are 11.healed" (Isaiah 53:4-5).

*Note*: Since, God sustained the responsibility of and was made accountable for our sorrows and griefs and was punished for our peace, why should we have to pay again for those pre-paid afflictions?

"Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a Name which is 12.above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father" (Philippians 2:9-11).

"And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple; Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms. And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us. And he gave head unto them, expecting to receive something of them. Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength" (Acts 3:2-7).

"Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand"(Acts 4:4).

*Note*: Notice that the man that was begging for money was in the spirit of expectation before he was healed and had faith to "rise up and walk," when Peter told him to. Also, notice that after the miracle took place about five thousand people believed in Christ.
