  • If we truly love God, "we will keep his commandments" (John 15:14). He commands us to "make disciples of all nations..." (Mathew 28:18), "do the work of an evangelist..." (II Timothy 4:5), and "preach the gospel to every creature..." (Mark 16:15).

  • If we "love our brothers" (John 13:34), (this can be a person in need, or even our "enemies" [Mathew 5:44]) and we want them to have "eternal life" and life "more abundantly" (John 3:16; 10:10), then we will tell them the "good news" about Jesus Christ.

  • We are the "watchmen to the house of Israel" (Ezekiel 3:17), and if we don't announce God's coming, "their blood God will require at our hands" (Ezekiel 33:6). Also, we receive "joy" (Mathew 25:21) when we share the gospel with others.

  • If we want to be a "friend" (John 15:14) of Jesus Christ, then we will tell people the good news. If we truly are the Lord's servants, we will "live for the Lord" (Romans 14:7-8).
