MAN IS SINFUL. GOD REQUIRES DEATH TO PAY FOR SIN

1). "And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?.. And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life" (Genesis 3:9-11, 22-24).

2). "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).

3). "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23).

4). "Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such the like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God" (Galatians 5:19-21).

  • *Note: Galations 5:19-21 is referring to a people who put these sins as their god(primary importance) in life. Jesus said that you can not serve two masters, because you will hate one and love the other(Matthew 6:24). Therefore, God is to be our only master, and our will is to do God's work(John 6:28-29). Reference passages:Romans 7; 8:1; 1 John 3:9; James 2:26; John 8:34-36; Colossians 1:13-14; 2:13-15.

JESUS CHRIST'S DEATH IS PAYMENT FOR THE SINS OF THOSE WHO ENTRUST THEMSELVES TO HIM [JESUS ROSE FROM THE DEAD].

1). "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him" (II Corinthians 5:21).

2). "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved" (Acts 4:12).

3). "And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission...Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us....now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself"(Hebrews 9:22,24,26).

4). "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me" (John 14:6).

5). "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (I Timothy 2:5).

6). "But he, whom God raised again, saw no corruption. Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins" (Acts 13:38).

7). "My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for our's only, but also for the sins of the whole world. And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments" (1 John 2:1-2).

8). "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all" (Isaiah 53:5-6).

9). "This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief" (1 Timothy 1:15).

WE MUST RECEIVE JESUS CHRIST AS THE LORD AND THE SAVIOR, THEN WE CAN EXPERIENCE GOD'S WONDERFUL PLAN FOR US.

1). "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved" (John 3:16-17).

2). "But God commandeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8).

3). "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved"(Acts 4:12).

4). "For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" (Romans 10:10-13).

5). "And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house" (Acts 16:30-31).

6). "And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God" (John 5:11-13).

WE BECOME A NEW CREATURE IN JESUS CHRIST.

1). "And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yet now henceforth know we him no more. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new" (II Corinthians 5:15-17).
