Works vs. faith vs. continuum vs. loss of salvation

We've all heard it before, pray these 5 lines and believe them whole-heartedly and you shall be saved.
There is some scriptural evidence for this, but is it so black and white or is it more a continuum? Can one lose salvation?
Is salvation to be worked out with great fear and trembling, and if so what does this mean?

I believe once you are His and you truly believe in Him and accept Him for who He is, you will always be His. There are a few reasons why I have been lead to this conclusion. I know there are many errors in the translations, but we as a group (the true church that reside inside us) of those who are seeking Him diligently have been led by the Spirit to uncover many of the false translations.

The Bible does say in John 10 that, "25 Jesus answered them, `I told you, and ye do not believe; the works that I do in the name of my Father, these testify concerning me; 26 but ye do not believe, for ye are not of my sheep, 27 according as I said to you: My sheep my voice do hear, and I know them, and they follow me, 28 and life age-during I give to them, and they shall not perish -- to the age, and no one shall pluck them out of my hand; 29 my Father, who hath given to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to pluck out of the hand of my Father; 30 I and the Father are one."

I do not believe that saying one prayer does it, I think it is a matter of the heart and the truth of your spirit honestly accepting who He is. People can say anything they want, but they don't always mean it. Once you truly connect with God, the Holy Spirit, and Christ, there is no disconnecting. You can't unknow what you've been given, you can't turn away from what you know is true.

The fear and trembling part, I do not think that means exactly how we would take it for face value to mean today. I think it means that we need to have a great honor and respect for who God is and in that we do seek to know Him and strive to be as much like Him and what He would want us to be as humanly possible. We are going to make mistakes, and that is understood, but it's the fight in us to be like Him and continue to learn, grow, and seek Him that show the honor and respect we have for Him.

My encounter with the Spirit was pure peace, a pureness I am unable to explain. I went from completely freaking out because of what was happening to me, to the Spirit laying her hand on my shoulder and instantly I was at peace and calm.
