Search Help

To find information about a topic, simply type in a few keywords. The more detailed your query, the more relevant your results.

Our search engine also comes with some advanced capabilities to help you find exactly what you're looking for. These capabilities are best shown with a few examples:

Translated: require GOD, require justice
Finds "GOD Justice", "GOD justice", and "the justice of GOD".
Does not find the lowercase "god justice".

Translated: forbid joy, require love
Finds only "love", "Love", "LOVE", and even "lovE".
Does not find any documents with "joy", "Joy", "JOY", or even "joY".

Translated: prefer predestination, require theology
Finds "predestination theology", "theology", and various capitalizations of these two.
Documents with both terms appear higher in the list.

Translated: require the phrase "God's love"
Finds "God's love".
Does not find "God's Love" nor "love of God".

Translated: require fear (case insensitive), require words starting with "torment"
Finds "fear torment", "FEAR torments", "Fear tormented", etc.
The asterisk is a wildcard representing any four or fewer characters.

Translated: require God (case sensitive), require faith, forbid judgement, prefer believe
First lists "faith and believe in God", then "faith in God", etc.
Does not list lowercase "god faith", nor forbidden "God faith and judgement".

Note on case sensitivity - only words or phrases containing an upper case character will be treated as case sensitive. A search on "wrath" will match "Wrath", "WRATH", and "wratH", while the term "WRATH" matches only its uppercase version.

The asterisk is a powerful search tool, but has some limitations. It cannot span words - that is, the query "lov*atience" would not match the words love and patience - and it can represent at most four letters or numbers. To avoid overly broad searches, the asterisk can only be used in words or phrases which have at least three alpha-numeric characters. A search for "ch*" would be ignored.
