Sleek and functional, this 40-inch high desk from South Shore Furniture's Axess collection translates as well in a contemporary office as in a teenager’s bedroom. The desk accommodates a desktop or laptop computer and provides plenty of storage in its simple design. Facing the desk, the right side of the unit offers a small utility drawer for pens, tape, and USB cords, as well as two storage compartments to house a CPU, a server, printer, or paper. The compartments are open to enable electric cords to connect various computer components to one another and to a power outlet. On the desk’s left side, a keyboard tray extracts. A small hutch with a narrow shelf extends across the back of the desk, an ideal space for framed photographs, software CDs, or books.An Environmentally Preferred Product (EPP) certified product, the desk is crafted out of engineered wood and recycled fiber with a pure black finish. Both the drawer and the keyboard tray roll out on sturdy metal glides with built-in stops to prevent falling out of the case. A silver-finished metal handle adorns the drawer for easy opening. To clean the desk, wipe with a damp cloth. Avoid ammonia-based cleaning products which cause the finish to deteriorate and fade.
