The lights themselves are extremely long-lasting--they're rated at 35,000 hours, and the heavy-duty PVC rope is an unobtrusive 3/8-inch in diameter. For longer runs, you can easily connect one set to another (up to 330 feet maximum).The G9512CLR-I is 12 feet long, and operates at 120 volts. Note that these lights will heat up when in use--they should not be left on unattended.
