Check the outdoor temperature from multiple locations of a yard by adding another wireless temperature sensor to a separately-purchased La Crosse Technology Weather Direct weather station. Also compatible with the Weather Direct LITE stations, the TX50U-IT wireless sensor transmits outdoor temperature readings from -39.8 to 139.8 degrees F to the system receiver to help users to plan appropriately for brisk or hot weather; the sensor does not evaluate humidity or air pressure. The sensor communicates this data to the weather station receiver at a 915 MHz frequency from up to 330 feet unobstructed. Transmission through walls reduces the wireless range. Using the provided mounting bracket, install the sensor in a sheltered location to protect it from direct rain and sunlight. This sensor also can be employed for indoor temperature monitoring. A limited one-year warranty covers this item.
