The Women's Free Rein 2.5 layer coat from Red Ledge offers an expedition-worthy waterproof and breathable performance at a reasonable price point. The coat shell is constructed with a patented T-Core LX waterproof/breathable coating on mini rip-stop nylon in conjunction with a DWR (Durable Water Repellant) finish and a wicking/protective micro-print coating. All of the coat's seams are taped and sealed for complete waterproof protection. The coat is equipped with a double exterior storm flap over the zipper to keep wind out, pit zips for ventilation, and two zippered pockets with a mesh lining that can provide extra ventilation as needed.
