Video Game Figure: Gamepro DanElektro: Toys & Games. The swiveling joints are designed and cut awkwardly (when the torso is twisted, for example, it suddenly becomes wider than the hips), and Elektro's wild shock of hair--a big, divoted blob of silver plastic--looks like an accident that happened back at the factory. Dan Elektro, for those out of the loop, is a former editor at GamePro (B00005NIPK), a video-gaming mag whose staffers are idolized by legions of gamers and afforded near-superhero standing. (Other employees include Air Hendrix, Dr. Zombie, and Super8 Samurai.) Unfortunately, this flimsy action figure, outfitted in a purple bodysuit and yellow booties, is unworthy of Elektro's cult status. Included are a display base and a list of Elektro's favorite hobbies, which include playing guitar, juggling fire, and watching New York Knicks basketball games.
