Long-Distance Paper Airplane

The Scientific Method Applied to Paper Airplanes: Just as an ordinary piece of paper, if it is properly prepared and properly motivated, can do incredible things; so can you, if you are properly prepared and properly motivated, do some incredible things for the Lord. Study the Bible and let God prepare you to do some great things for Him!

Airplane Intructions:

• Print out each page (Two sides)
• Cut the paper in half to 8.5 by 5.5 inches
• Fold on lines 2 and 3 almost to line 1 (leave a small gap)
• Fold on lines 4 and 5 almost to line 1 (leaving another small gap)
• Fold the plane in half on line 1
• Staple the plane where it's marked "Staple" (try different places and watch how the plane flies)
• Fold wings down so they are even with the bottom
• Bend a jumbo paperclip into a letter "S" as shown
• Place the small hook of the paperclip between the wings near the back and slide the clip forward so it hooks on the staple
• Trim about 1 inch off the tail to make it even (and provide longer flights)
• Place a small piece of tape to hold the paperclip to the plane
• Loop 5 #64 rubberbands together
• Have someone hold each end of the rubberband string so the center is loose
• Hold your plane by the tail, hook the clip under the rubberbands and pull it back and down (a 30-40 degree slope works best)
• Launch plane outside! Our record is 450 feet!
