King James Bible - Ezekiel 12:3

Therefore, thou son of man, prepare thee stuff for removing, and remove by day in their sight; and thou shalt remove from thy place to another place in their sight: it may be they will consider, though they be a rebellious house.

    World English Bible

Therefore, you son of man, prepare your
stuff for moving, and move by day in their sight; and you shall move from your place to another place in their sight: it may be they will consider, though they are a rebellious house.

    Douay-Rheims - Ezekiel 12:3

Thou, therefore, O son of man, prepare thee all necessaries for removing, and remove by
day in their sight: and thou shalt remove out of thy place to another place in their sight, if so be they will regard it: for they are a provoking house.

    Webster's Bible Translation

Therefore, thou son of man, prepare thee
stuff for removing, and remove by day in their sight; and thou shalt remove from thy place to another place in their sight; it may be they will consider, though they are a rebellious house.

    SEV Biblia, Chapter 12:3

Por tanto tú, hijo de hombre, hazte aparejos de marcha, y parte de día delante de sus ojos; y te pasarás de tu lugar a otro lugar a vista de ellos; no verán porque son casa rebelde.

    Clarke's Bible Commentary - Ezekiel 12:3

    Verse 3. Prepare thee
stuff for removing] Get carriages to transport thy goods to another place; signifying by this the captivity that was at hand.
    Matthew Henry Commentary
    The approaching
captivity. (Ezek. 12:1-16) An emblem of the consternation of the Jews. (Ezek. 12:17-20) Answers to the objection of scoffers. (Ezek. 12:21-28)

Ezek. 12:1-16 By the preparation for removal, and his breaking throug the wall of his house at evening, as one desirous to escape from the enemy, the prophet signified the conduct and fate of Zedekiah. When God has delivered us, we must glorify him and edify others, by acknowledging our sins. Those who by afflictions are brought to this are made to know that God is the Lord, and may help to bring others to know him.

Ezek. 12:17-20 The prophet must eat and drink in care and fear, with trembling, that he might express the condition of those in Jerusale during the siege. When ministers speak of the ruin coming upon sinners they must speak as those that know the terrors of the Lord. Affliction are happy ones, however grievous to flesh and blood, that improve us in the knowledge of God.

Ezek. 12:21-28 From that forbearance of God, which should have led the to repent, the Jews hardened themselves in sin. It will not serve for an excuse in speaking evil, to plead that it is a common saying. Ther is but a step between us and an awful eternity; therefore it concern us to get ready for a future state. No one will be able to put from himself the evil day, unless by seeking peace with the Lord __________________________________________________________________
