Estos fueron en los días de Joiacim, hijo de Jesúa, hijo de Josadac, y en los días de Nehemías capitán, y de Esdras sacerdote, escriba.

Ver. 26. These were in the days of Joiakim the son of Jeshua, the son of Jozadak , etc.] Who was high priest in Babylon, and whose grandson was now high priest in the time referred to: and in the days of Nehemiah the governor ; the writer of this book: and of Ezra the priest, the scribe ; who was contemporary with him.

Verses 1-26 - It is a debt we owe to faithful ministers, to remember our guides, wh have spoken to us the word of God. It is good to know what our godl predecessors were, that we may learn what we should be.
