    King James Version
And Esther spake yet again before the king, and fell down at his feet, and besought him with tears to put away the mischief of Haman the Agagite, and his device that he had devised against the Jews.
    World English Bible
Esther spoke yet again before the king, and fell down at his feet, and begged him with tears to put away the mischief of Haman the Agagite, and his device that he had devised against the Jews.

    Douay-Rheims
And not content with these things, she fell down at the king's feet and wept, and speaking to him besought him, that he would give orders that the malice of Aman the Agagite, and his most wicked devices which he had invented against the Jews, should be of no effect.

    Webster's Bible Translation
And Esther spoke yet again before the king, and fell down at his feet, and besought him with tears to put away the mischief of Haman the Agagite, and his device that he had devised against the Jews.

    SEV Biblia
¶ Volvió luego Ester a hablar delante del rey, y se echó a sus pies, llorando y rogándole que hiciese nula la maldad de Amán agageo, y su designio que había formado contra los judíos.
    John Gill's Bible Commentary

Ver. 3. And Esther spake yet again before the king , etc.] Went into his presence, without being called for as before, with a new petition: and fell down at his feet, and besought him with tears ; the more to work upon his affections, and move him to grant her request; which she might be the more encouraged to hope for, through the success she already had: to put away the mischief of Haman the Agagite, and his device that he had devised against the Jews ; to revoke, abolish, and make void a mischievous scheme Haman had devised against the Jews, to root out the whole nation of them in the Persian empire.

    Matthew Henry Commentary
Verses 3-14 - It was time to be earnest, when the
church of God was at stake. Esther though safe herself, fell down and begged for the deliverance of he people. We read of no tears when she begged for her own life, but although she was sure of that, she wept for her people. Tears of pit and tenderness are the most Christ-like. According to the constitutio of the Persian government, no law or decree could be repealed of recalled. This is so far from speaking to the wisdom and honour of the Medes and Persians, that it clearly shows their pride and folly. Thi savours of that old presumption which ruined all, We will be as gods It is God's prerogative not to repent, or to say what can never be altered or unsaid. Yet a way was found, by another decree, to authoriz the Jews to stand upon their defence. The decree was published in the languages of all the provinces. Shall all the subjects of an earthl prince have his decrees in languages they understand, and shall God' oracles and laws be locked up from any of his servants in an unknow tongue?
