¶ Y aconteció después de estas cosas, que fue dada nueva a Abraham, diciendo: He aquí que también Milca ha dado a luz hijos a Nacor tu hermano:

Verse 20. Behold, Milcah, she hath also borne children unto thy brother] This short history seems introduced solely for the purpose of preparing the reader for the transactions related chap. 24., and to show that the providence of God was preparing, in one of the branches of the family of Abraham, a suitable spouse for his son Isaac.
Matthew Henry Commentary
Verses 20-24 - This chapter ends with some account of Nahor's family, who had settle at Haran. This seems to be given for the connexion which it had with the church of God. From thence Isaac and Jacob took wives; and befor the account of those events this list is recorded. It shows that thoug Abraham saw his own family highly honoured with privileges, admitte into covenant, and blessed with the assurance of the promise, yet he did not look with disdain upon his relations, but was glad to hear of the increase and welfare of their families __________________________________________________________________
