¡Quién me diera el saber dónde hallar a Dios ! Yo iría hasta su silla.
    Adam Clarke's Bible Commentary

Verse 3. O that I knew where I might find him! ] This and the following verse may be read thus: "Who will give me the knowledge of God, that I may find him out? I would come to his establishment; (the place or way in which he has promised to communicate himself;) I would exhibit, in detail, my judgment (the cause I wish to be tried) before his face; and my mouth would I fill with convincing or decisive arguments;" arguments drawn from his common method of saving sinners, which I should prove applied fully to my case. Hence the confidence with which he speaks, ver. 6.

    Matthew Henry Commentary
Verses 1-7 - Job appeals from his
friends to the just judgement of God. He wants to have his cause tried quickly. Blessed be God, we may know where to fin him. He is in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself; and upon mercy-seat, waiting to be gracious. Thither the sinner may go; an there the believer may order his cause before Him, with arguments take from his promises, his covenant, and his glory. A patient waiting for death and judgment is our wisdom and duty, and it cannot be without holy fear and trembling. A passionate wishing for death or judgement in our sin and folly, and ill becomes us, as it did Job.
