And Abraham took Ismael his son, and all that were born in his house: and all whom he had bought, every male among the
men of his house: and he circumcised the flesh of their foreskin forthwith the very same day, as God had commanded him.

King James Bible - Genesis 17:23

And Abraham took Ishmael his son, and all that were born in his house, and all that were bought with his
money, every male among the men of Abraham's house; and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin in the selfsame day, as God had said unto him.

    World English Bible

Comp. Gen. xiv. with Gen. xvii.

Mark how He has described at once both the water and the cross. For these words imply, Blessed are they who, placing their trust in the cross, have gone down into the water; for, says He, they shall receive their reward in due time: then He declares, I will recompense them. But now He saith,1601

“Their leaves shall not fade.” This meaneth, that every word which proceedeth out of your mouth in faith and love shall tend to bring conversion and hope to many. Again, another prophet saith, “And the land of Jacob shall be extolled above every land.”1602

Come, let us go to the light of the Lord; for He has liberated His people, the house of Jacob. Come, all nations; let us gather ourselves together at Jerusalem, no longer plagued by war for the sins of her people. ‘For I was manifest to them that sought Me not; I was found of them that asked not for Me;’2007
