    Ac 13:27-29

    SEV Biblia, Chapter 3:15

Y aun hasta el día de hoy, cuando Moiss es leído, el velo est puesto sobre el corazn de ellos.

    John Gill's Bible Commentary

Ver. 15. But even unto this
day, when Moses is read , etc..] These words are an explanation of the former, and show that by the Old Testament is designed, more especially, Moses, or the writings of Moses; which were frequently read, and preached upon in the Jewish synagogues; (see Acts 13:15 15:21) and that by the veil untaken away, is meant, the veil upon their heart ; that is, the veil of blindness, ignorance of Christ, and the Gospel; of the prophecies of the Old Testament, and even of the law itself, its nature, use, and end; preferring the traditions of their fathers, before the written law of Moses.

    Matthew Henry Commentary

Verses 12-18 - It is the
duty of the ministers of the gospel to use great plainness or clearness, of speech. The Old Testament believers had only cloud and passing glimpses of that glorious Saviour, and unbelievers looke no further than to the outward institution. But the great precepts of the gospel, believe, love, obey, are truths stated as clearly a possible. And the whole doctrine of Christ crucified, is made as plai as human language can make it. Those who lived under the law, had veil upon their hearts. This veil is taken away by the doctrines of the Bible about Christ. When any person is converted to God, then the vei of ignorance is taken away. The condition of those who enjoy an believe the gospel is happy, for the heart is set at liberty to run the ways of God's commandments. They have light, and with open face the behold the glory of the Lord. Christians should prize and improve thes privileges. We should not rest contented without knowing the transforming power of the gospel, by the working of the Spirit bringing us to seek to be like the temper and tendency of the glorious gospel of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and into union with Him We behold Christ, as in the glass of his word; and as the reflectio from a mirror causes the face to shine, the faces of Christians shin also __________________________________________________________________

    3:15 {Whensoever
Moses is read} (henika an anaginwsketai mwuses). Indefinite temporal clause with henika an and the present passive subjunctive. {A veil lieth upon their heart} (epi ten kardian autwn keitai). Vivid and distressing picture, a fact that caused Paul agony of heart (#Ro 9:1-5). With wilful blindness the rabbis set aside the word of God by their tradition in the time of Jesus (#Mr 7:8f.).
