King James Bible - Genesis 26:30

And he made them a feast, and they did eat and drink.

    World English Bible

He made them a feast, and they ate and drank.

    Douay-Rheims - Genesis 26:30

And he made them a feast, and after they had eaten and drunk:

    Webster's Bible Translation

    SEV Biblia, Chapter 26:30

Entonces él les hizo banquete, y comieron y bebieron.

    Clarke's Bible Commentary - Genesis 26:30

Verse 30. He made them a
feast] Probably on the sacrifice that was offered on the occasion of making this covenant. This was a common custom.

    Matthew Henry Commentary

    Verses 26-33 - When a man's ways please the
Lord, he maketh even his enemies to be a peace with him, Pr 16:7. Kings' hearts are in his hands, and when he pleases, he can turn them to favour his people. It is not wrong to stand upon our guard in dealing with those who have acted unfairly. But Isaac did not insist on the unkindnesses they had done him; he freel entered into friendship with them. Religion teaches us to be neighbourly, and, as much as in us lies, to live peaceable with all men. Providence smiled upon what Isaac did; God blessed his labours.
