Adam Clarke's Bible Commentary Verse 3. My words shall be of the uprightness ] As God has given me his Spirit, from that Spirit alone will I speak; therefore all my words shall be of uprightness, knowledge, and truth.

Verses 1-7 - Job had desired a judge to decide his appeal. Elihu was one accordin to his wish, a man like himself. If we would rightly convince men, it must be by reason, not by terror; by fair argument, not by a heav hand.
