King James Bible - Numbers 15:15

One ordinance shall be both for you of the congregation, and also for the stranger that sojourneth with you, an ordinance for ever in your generations: as ye are, so shall the stranger be before the LORD.

    World English Bible

    For the
assembly, there shall be one statute for you, and for the stranger who lives as a foreigner [with you], a statute forever throughout your generations: as you are, so shall the foreigner be before Yahweh.

    Douay-Rheims - Numbers 15:15

    There shall be all one
law and judgment both for you and for them who are strangers in the land.

    Webster's Bible Translation

One ordinance shall be both for you of the congregation, and also for the stranger that sojourneth with you, an ordinance for ever in your generations: as ye are, so shall the stranger be before the LORD.

    SEV Biblia, Chapter 15:15

Un mismo estatuto tendréis, vosotros de la congregación y el extranjero que mora con vosotros; estatuto que será perpetuo por vuestras edades; como vosotros, así será el extranjero delante del SEÑOR.

    John Gill's Bible Commentary

    Ver. 15. One
ordinance [shall be both] for you of the congregation , etc.] Or “O congregation” f196 , as Ben Melech, and so the Targum of Jonathan, “O whole congregation”; though Aben Ezra denies it to be vocative: and also for the stranger that sojourneth [with you] ; the same ordinance, statute, or appointment, respecting the above things, were equally binding on one side as on the other, an homeborn Israelite and a proselyte of righteousness: an ordinance for ever in your generations ; to be observed by them, one and the other, in all ages, until the Messiah came and abolished the law of commandments contained in ordinances: as ye [are] so shall the stranger be before the Lord ; not in things civil, but religious, and particularly with respect to the above sacrifices and offerings: Ben Gersom and Aben Ezra say this respects the burnt offering only, which was before the Lord.

    Matthew Henry Commentary

    Verses 1-21 -
Full instructions are given about the meat-offerings an drink-offerings. The beginning of this law is very encouraging, When y come into the land of your habitation which I give unto you. This was plain intimation that God would secure the promised land to their seed It was requisite, since the sacrifices of acknowledgment were intende as the food of God's table, that there should be a constant supply of bread, oil, and wine, whatever the flesh-meat was. And the intent of this law is to direct the proportions of the meat-offering an drink-offering. Natives and strangers are placed on a level in this a in other like matters. It was a happy forewarning of the calling of the Gentiles, and of their admission into the church. If the law made s little difference between Jew and Gentile, much less would the gospel which broke down the partition-wall, and reconciled both to God.
