VERSE (17) -
Mr 4:10,34 Mt 13:10,36; 15:15

SEV Biblia, Chapter 7:17

Y dejando la multitud y entrndose en casa, le preguntaron sus discípulos sobre la parbola.

John Gill's Bible Commentary

Ver. 17. And when he was entered into the
house , etc..] Very probably at Capernaum, and it may be the house of Simon and Andrew, where he used to be when there: from the people ; being separated from them, having dismissed and left them, when he and his disciples were by themselves alone: his disciples asked him concerning the parable ; that saying of his to the people, which was somewhat dark and intricate to them; that nothing without a man going into him defiled him, but what comes out of him: this was asked by Peter, in the name of the rest; (see Gill on Matthew 15:15).

Matthew Henry Commentary

Verses 14-23 - Our
wicked thoughts and affections, words and actions, defile us, an these only. As a corrupt fountain sends forth corrupt streams, so doe a corrupt heart send forth corrupt reasonings, corrupt appetites an passions, and all the wicked words and actions that come from them. spiritual understanding of the law of God, and a sense of the evil of sin, will cause a man to seek for the grace of the Holy Spirit, to kee down the evil thoughts and affections that work within.

Vincent's NT Word Studies

17. The
disciples. Matthew says Peter. There is no discrepancy. Peter spoke for the band.

Robertson's NT Word Studies

7:17 {When he was entered into the
house from the multitude} (hote eiselqen eis oikon apo tou oclou). this detail in Mark alone, probably in Peter's house in Capernaum. To the crowd Jesus spoke the parable of corban, but the disciples want it interpreted (cf. #4:10ff.,33ff.). #Mt 15:15 represents Peter as the spokesman as was usually the case.
