Y Maaca mujer de Maquir le dio a luz un hijo, y le llamó Peres; y el nombre de su hermano fue Seres, cuyos hijos fueron Ulam y Requem.

Ver. 16. And Maachah the wife of Machir bare a son, and she called his name Peresh; and the name of his brother was Sheresh , etc.] He had both these sons by her: and his sons were Ulam and Rakem , that is, either the sons of Peresh or Sheresh, the nearest, as Kimchi observes.

Genealogies. --Here is no account either of Zebulun or Dan. We can assign no reaso why they only should be omitted; but it is the disgrace of the tribe of Dan, that idolatry began in that colony which fixed in Laish, an called it Dan, Jud 18 and there one of the golden calves was set up by Jeroboam. Dan is omitted, Re 7. Men become abominable when they forsak the worship of the true God, for any creature object __________________________________________________________________
