Mas Jess se apart al mar con sus discípulos; y le sigui gran multitud de Galilea, y de Judea,

    Clarke's Bible Commentary - Mark 3:7

    Verse 7.
Galilee] See Matt. iv. 13, 15.

    John Gill's Bible Commentary

    Ver. 7. But
Jesus withdrew himself with his disciples to the sea , etc..] Knowing their evil designs against him, he departed out of the synagogue, and city of Capernaum; and taking his disciples with him, he went to the shore of the sea of Galilee; not out of fear, but because his time was not yet come, and he had more work to do: and a great multitude from Galilee : from the several parts of it, in which country he now was: and from Judea : that part of the land of Israel, which was particularly so called, and belonged to the tribe of Judah.

    Matthew Henry Commentary

Verses 6-12 - All our sicknesses and calamities
spring from the anger of God agains our sins. Their removal, or the making them blessings to us, wa purchased to us by the blood of Christ. But the plagues and diseases of our souls, of our hearts, are chiefly to be dreaded; and He can hea them also by a word. May more and more press to Christ to be healed of these plagues, and to be delivered from the enemies of their souls.

    Vincent's NT Word Studies

    7. Withdrew. Mark alone notes no less than eleven occasions on which
Jesus retired from his work, in order to escape his enemies or to pray in solitude, for rest, or for private conference with his disciples. See i. 12; iii. 7; vi. 31, 46; vii. 24, 31; ix. 2; x. 1; xiv. 34.

A great multitude (polu plhqov). Compare verse 8, where the order of the Greek words is reversed. In the former case the greatness of the mass of people is emphasized; in the latter, the mass of people itself.

    Robertson's NT Word Studies

3:7 {Withdrew to the sea} (anecwresen eis ten qalassan). Evidently Jesus knew of the plot to kill him, "perceiving it" (#Mt 12:15). "He and His would be safer by the open beach" (Swete). He has the disciples with him. Vincent notes that on eleven occasions Mark mentions the withdrawals of Jesus to escape his enemies, for prayer, for rest, for private conference with his disciples (#1:12; 3:7; 6:31,46; 7:24,31; 9:2; 10:1; 14:34). But, as often, a great multitude (polu pleqos) from Galilee followed him.
