SEV Biblia, Chapter 18:15

Y viendo Saúl que se portaba tan prudentemente, tenía temor de él.

Clarke's Bible Commentary - 1 Samuel 18:15

Verse 15. He was afraid of him.] He saw that, by his
prudent conduct, he was every day gaining increasing influence.

John Gill's Bible Commentary

Ver. 15. Wherefore when
Saul saw that he behaved himself very wisely , etc.] So that he could get no advantage against him, and he succeeded and was prosperous in all his enterprises, and was more and more in favour with the people: he was afraid of him ; lest the time was drawing near that the kingdom should be rent from him, and given to David.

Matthew Henry Commentary

Verses 12-30 - For a long time
David was kept in continual apprehension of falling by the hand of Saul, yet he persevered in meek and respectful behaviou towards his persecutor. How uncommon is such prudence and discretion especially under insults and provocations! Let us inquire if we imitat this part of the exemplary character before us. Are we behaving wisel in all our ways? Is there no sinful omission, no rashness of spirit nothing wrong in our conduct? Opposition and perverseness in others will not excuse wrong tempers in us, but should increase our care, an attention to the duties of our station. Consider Him that endure contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be weary and faint in your minds, Heb 12:3. If David magnified the honour of being son-in-la to king Saul, how should we magnify the honour of being sons to the King of kings __________________________________________________________________
