And they turned thitherward, and came to the house of the young man the Levite, even unto the house of Micah, and saluted him.

They turned aside there, and came to the house of the young man the Levite, even to the house of Micah, and asked him of his welfare.

And when they had turned a little aside, they went into the house of the young man the Levite, who was in the house of Michas: and they saluted him with words of peace.

SEV Biblia, Chapter 18:15

Y llegándose allá, vinieron a la casa del joven levita en casa de Micaía, y le preguntaron cómo estaba.

John Gill's Bible Commentary

Ver. 15. And they turned thitherward , etc.] It seems as if the
house lay a little out of their way, and therefore they turned on one hand to go unto it: and came to the house of the young man the Levite, even unto the house of Micah ; for the young man’s house was only an apartment of Micah’s, and lay very probably next to that in which the images, and oracle were; and they made up to the young man’s apartment, rather than to Micah’s, because the above things were under his care: and saluted him ; asked him of his welfare in a kind and obliging manner, the rather to ingratiate themselves unto him.

Matthew Henry Commentary

The
Danites seek to enlarge their inheritance, and rob Micah.

--The Danites determined to take Micah's gods with them. Oh the foll of these Danites! How could they imagine those gods should protec them, that could not keep themselves from being stolen! To take the for their own use, was a double crime; it showed they neither feare God, nor regarded man, but were lost both to godliness and honesty What a folly was it for Micah to call those his gods, which he ha made, when He only is to be worshipped by us as God, that made us! Tha is put in God's place, which we are concerned about, as if our all wer bound up in it. If people will walk in the name of their false gods much more should we love and serve the true God __________________________________________________________________
