Y durmió Joás con sus padres, y fue sepultado en Samaria con los reyes de Israel; y reinó en su lugar Jeroboam su hijo.

John Gill's Bible Commentary

Ver. 16. And Jehoash slept with his fathers , etc.]
Died as they died: and was buried in Samaria with the kings of Israel ; where they were: and Jeroboam his son reigned in his stead ; which was Jeroboam the second.

Matthew Henry Commentary

Verses 15-22 -
Amaziah survived his conqueror fifteen years. He was slain by his ow subjects. Azariah, or Uzziah, seems to have been very young when his father was slain. Though the years of his reign are reckoned from tha event, he was not fully made king till eleven years afterwards.
