    SEV Biblia, Chapter 13:30

El término de ellos fue desde Mahanaim, todo Basán, todo el reino de Og rey de Basán, y todas las aldeas de Jair que están en Basán, sesenta ciudades.

    Clarke's Bible Commentary - Joshua 13:30

    Verse 30. The
towns of Jair] These were sixty cities; they are mentioned afterwards, and in 1 Chron. ii. 21, &c. They are the same with the Havoth-jair mentioned Num. xxxii. 41. Jair was son of Segub, grandson of Esron or Hezron, and great-grandson of Machir by his grandmother's side, who married Hezron of the tribe of Judah. See his genealogy, 1 Chron. ii. 21-24.

    John Gill's Bible Commentary

    Ver. 30. And their
coast was from Mahanaim , etc.] A place in the tribe of Gad, ( Joshua 13:26); which was the boundary of the half tribe that way: all Bashan ; so famous for its oxen, and for pasturage for them, and for its oaks, called by Josephus Batanea: all the kingdom of Og king of Bashan ; which, besides Bashan, took in the kingdom of Argob or Trachonitis, half the land of Gilead, all which was possessed by the half tribe of Manasseh: (see Deuteronomy 3:13); and all the towns of, Jair which [are] in Bashan, threescore cities ; of Jair, and his relation to Manasseh, and of his taking these cities, and the number of them, (see Numbers 33:41 Deuteronomy 3:4,14).

    Matthew Henry Commentary

    Verses 7-33 - The
land must be divided among the tribes. It is the will of God tha every man should know his own, and not take that which is another's The world must be governed, not by force, but right. Wherever ou habitation is placed, and in whatever honest way our portion is assigned, we should consider them as allotted of God; we should be thankful for, and use them as such, while every prudent method shoul be used to prevent disputes about property, both at present and in future. Joshua must be herein a type of Christ, who has not onl conquered the gates of hell for us, but has opened to us the gates of heaven, and having purchased the eternal inheritance for all believers will put them in possession of it. Here is a general description of the country given to the two tribes and a half, by Moses. Israel must know their own, and keep to it; and may not, under pretence of their being God's peculiar people, encroach on their neighbours. Twice in thi chapter it is noticed, that to the tribe of Levi Moses gave n inheritance: see Nu 18:20. Their maintenance must be brought out of all the tribes. The ministers of the Lord should show themselve indifferent about worldly interests, and the people should take car they want nothing suitable. And happy are those who have the Lord God of Israel for their inheritance, though little of this world falls to their lot. His providences will supply their wants, his consolation will support their souls, till they gain heavenly joy and everlastin pleasures __________________________________________________________________
