King James Bible - Joshua 2:19

And it shall be, that whosoever shall go out of the doors of thy house into the street, his blood shall be upon his head, and we will be guiltless: and whosoever shall be with thee in the house, his blood shall be on our head, if any hand be upon him.

    World English Bible

It shall be that whoever goes out of the
doors of your house into the street, his blood will be on his head, and we will be guiltless. Whoever is with you in the house, his blood shall be on our head, if any hand is on him.

    Douay-Rheims - Joshua 2:19

Whosoever shall go out of the
door of thy house, his blood shall be upon his own head, and we shall be quit. But the blood of all that shall be with thee in the house, shall light upon our head, if any man touch them.

    Webster's Bible Translation

And it shall be, that whoever shall go out of the
doors of thy house into the street, his blood shall be upon his head, and we will be guiltless: and whoever shall be with thee in the house, his blood shall be on our head, if any hand be upon him.

    SEV Biblia, Chapter 2:19

Cualquiera que saliere fuera de las puertas de tu casa, su sangre será sobre su cabeza, y nosotros sin culpa. Mas cualquiera que se estuviere en casa contigo, su sangre será sobre nuestra cabeza, si mano le tocare.

    John Gill's Bible Commentary

Ver. 19. And it shall be, [that] whosoever shall go out of the
door of thy house into the street , etc.] After they have been taken in, and when the Israelites were come into the city: his blood [shall be] upon his head, and we [will be] guiltless ; if he is killed by any person, his death will be owing to himself, and no blame to be laid on us; nor shall we reckon ourselves guilty of the breach of the oath taken: and whosoever [shall be] with thee in the house, his blood shall be on our head, if [any] hand be upon him : if anyone within doors is killed by an Israelite entering in, the guilt of the blood shall lie upon us, and we will be answerable, according to the tenor of the oath, “our life for yours”, ( Joshua 2:14).

    Matthew Henry Commentary

    Verses 8-21 -
Rahab had heard of the miracles the Lord wrought for Israel. Sh believed that his promises would certainly be fulfilled, and his threatenings take effect; and that there was no way of escape but by submitting to him, and joining with his people. The conduct of Raha proved that she had the real principle of Divine faith. Observe the promises the spies made to her. The goodness of God is often expresse by his kindness and truth, Ps 117:2; in both these we must be follower of him. Those who will be conscientious in keeping promises, ar cautious in making them. The spies make needful conditions. The scarle cord, like the blood upon the doorpost at the passover, recalls to remembrance the sinner's security under the atoning blood of Christ and that we are to flee thereto for refuge from the wrath of a justl offended God. The same cord Rahab used for the saving of thes Israelites, was to be used for her own safety. What we serve and honou God with, we may expect he will bless, and make useful to us.
