Y el rey Salomón será bendito, y el trono de David será firme perpetuamente delante del SEÑOR.

Verse 45. King Solomon shall be blessed] He seems to think that, while such bad men remained unpunished, the nation could not prosper; that it was an act of justice which God required him to perform, in order to the establishment and perpetuity of his throne.
John Gill's Bible Commentary
Ver. 45. And King Solomon [shall be] blessed , etc.] With a long and peaceable reign, and large dominions, notwithstanding all the attempts to make him unhappy: and the throne of David shall be established before the Lord for ever ; the kingdom of David over Judah for a long time, in his natural line; and the kingdom of Israel, spiritual Israel, for ever in his son the Messiah; and that in the presence of the Lord, he observing, ordering, and succeeding all things to that purpose.
Matthew Henry Commentary
Verses 35-46 - The old malignity remains in the unconverted heart, and a watchful ey should be kept on those who, like Shimei, have manifested their enmity but have given no evidence of repentance. No engagements or danger will restrain worldly men; they go on, though they forfeit their live and souls. Let us remember, God will not accommodate his judgment to us. His eye is over us; and let us strive to walk as in his presence Let our every act, word, and thought, be governed by this great truth that the hour is quickly coming when the smallest circumstances of ou lives shall be brought to light, and our eternal state be fixed by righteous and unerring God. Thus Solomon's throne was established in peace, as the type of the Redeemer's kingdom of peace an righteousness. And it is a comfort, in reference to the enmity of the church's enemies, that, how much soever they rage, it is a vain thin they imagine.
