y del norte torna y sale a En-semes, y de allí sale a Gelilot, que está delante de la subida de Adumín, y descendía a la piedra de Bohán, hijo de Rubén;

Verse 17. En-shemesh] The fountain of the sun; a proof of the idolatrous nature of the ancient inhabitants of this land. Geliloth] As the word signifies borders or limits, it is probably not the proper name of a place: And went forth towards the BORDERS which are over against the ascent to Adummim.

Ver. 17. And was drawn from the north , etc.] Turning northward, and looking that way from the west to the east: and went forth to Enshemesh ; or the fountain of the sun, (see Joshua 15:7); and went forth toward Geliloth ; called Gilgal, ( Joshua 15:7); which [is] over against the going up to Adummim ; a place between Jerusalem and Jericho, (see Joshua 15:7); and descended to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben ; (see Joshua 15:6).

Verses 11-28 - The boundaries of each portion were distinctly drawn, and the inheritance of each tribe settled. All contests and selfish claims wer prevented by the wise appointment of God, who allotted the hill and the valley, the corn and pasture, the brooks and rivers, the towns an cities. Is the lot of any servant of Christ cast in affliction an sorrow? It is the Lord; let him do what seemeth him good. Are we in prosperity and peace? It is from above. Be humbled when you compare the gift with your own unworthiness. Forget not Him that gave the good, an always be ready to resign it at his command __________________________________________________________________
