Adam Clarke's Bible Commentary Verse 5. That I may see the good of thy chosen ] That I may enjoy the good, for so the word see is understood among the Hebrews. "Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God," - they shall enjoy him, possess his favour, and be made like unto him.
Matthew Henry Commentary
Verses 1-5 - None of our sins or sufferings should prevent our ascribing glory an praise to the Lord. The more unworthy we are, the more is his kindnes to be admired. And those who depend on the Redeemer's righteousnes will endeavour to copy his example, and by word and deed to show fort his praise. God's people have reason to be cheerful people; and nee not envy the children of men their pleasure or pride.
