SEV Biblia, Chapter 9:8

Entonces Saulo se levant de tierra, y abriendo los ojos, no veía a nadie; así que, llevndole por la mano, le metieron en Damasco,

Clarke's Bible Commentary - Acts 9:8

Verse 8. When his eyes were opened, he saw no man] Instead of oudena, no man, the Codex Alexandrinus, the Syriac, Vulgate, and some others, have ouden nothing. He not only saw no man, but he saw nothing, being quite
blind; and therefore was led by the hand to Damascus, mh blepwn, being without sight.

John Gill's Bible Commentary

Ver. 8. And
Saul arose from the earth , etc.] As he was bid by Christ, ( Acts 9:6) and when his eyes were opened he saw no man ; neither Christ, who appeared to him from heaven, whom he had before seen, nor even any of his companions, nor indeed any object: the Syriac version renders it, he saw nothing; not anything at all; and the Ethiopic version, he could not see: when he opened his eye lids, he perceived his sight was gone, and this showed it to be real blindness; and which was an emblem of the ignorance and blindness he had been in: but they led him by the hand ; the men that were with him, perceiving that he could not guide himself, took him by the hand, and led him on his journey; and brought him into Damascus ; and now was fulfilled, at least in part, the prophecy in ( Zechariah 9:1).

Matthew Henry Commentary

Verses 1-9 - So
ill informed was Saul, that he thought he ought to do all he coul against the name of Christ, and that he did God service thereby; he seemed to breathe in this as in his element. Let us not despair of renewing grace for the conversion of the greatest sinners, nor let suc despair of the pardoning mercy of God for the greatest sin. It is signal token of Divine favour, if God, by the inward working of his grace, or the outward events of his providence, stops us from prosecuting or executing sinful purposes. Saul saw that Just One, ch 22:14; 26:13. How near to us is the unseen world! It is but for God to draw aside the veil, and objects are presented to the view, compare with which, whatever is most admired on earth is mean and contemptible Saul submitted without reserve, desirous to know what the Lord Jesu would have him to do. Christ's discoveries of himself to poor souls ar humbling; they lay them very low, in mean thoughts of themselves. For three days Saul took no food, and it pleased God to leave him for tha time without relief. His sins were now set in order before him; he wa in the dark concerning his own spiritual state, and wounded in spiri for sin. When a sinner is brought to a proper sense of his own stat and conduct, he will cast himself wholly on the mercy of the Saviour asking what he would have him to do. God will direct the humble sinner, and though he does not often bring transgressors to joy an peace in believing, without sorrows and distress of conscience, unde which the soul is deeply engaged as to eternal things, yet happy ar those who sow in tears, for they shall reap in joy.

Robertson's NT Word Studies

9:8 {He saw nothing} (ouden eblepen). Imperfect active indicative, was seeing nothing. "The
glory of that light" (#22:11) when he saw Jesus had blinded his eyes now wide open (anewigmenwn, perfect passive participle of anoigw with double reduplication). The blindness was proof that something had happened to him and that it was no hallucination that he had seen the Risen Christ. Saul arose after the others were on their feet. {They led him by the hand} (ceiragwgountes). From ceiragwgos (ceir, hand and ag", to lead). Only here in the N.T., but in LXX and late writers though not in the old Greek. It was a pathetic picture to see the masterful Saul, victorious persecutor and conqueror of the disciples, now helpless as a child.
