VERSE (55) -
Mr 2:1-3; 3:7-11 Mt 4:24

SEV Biblia, Chapter 6:55

Y recorriendo toda la tierra de alrededor, comenzaron a traer de todas partes enfermos en lechos, a donde oían que estaba.

John Gill's Bible Commentary

Ver. 55. And
ran through that whole region round about , etc..] That is, the inhabitants of that part of the country where Christ landed, ran many of them themselves, and others sent messengers into all parts of it, on every side: and began to carry about in beds those that were sick ; or lame, or so disordered that they could not walk, or bear any other way of being carried: these they brought to him, where they heard he was : in whatsoever part of the country they could learn he was in; for he went about from place to place doing good.

Matthew Henry Commentary

Verses 45-56 - The
church is often like a ship at sea, tossed with tempests, and no comforted: we may have Christ for us, yet wind and tide against us; but it is a comfort to Christ's disciples in a storm, that their Master is in the heavenly mount, interceding for them. And no difficulties can hinder Christ's appearance for his people, when the set time is come He silenced their fears, by making himself known to them. Our fears ar soon satisfied, if our mistakes are set right, especially our mistake as to Christ. Let the disciples have their Master with them, and all is well. It is for want of rightly understanding Christ's former works that we view his present works as if there never were the like before If Christ's ministers now could cure people's bodily diseases, what multitudes would flock after them! It is sad to think how much mor most care about their bodies than about their souls __________________________________________________________________

Vincent's NT Word Studies

55.
Ran round. From place to place where the sick were, to bring them to Jesus. Matthew has they sent.

Carry about (periferein). peri, about; one hither and another thither, wherever Christ might be at the time.

Beds (krabattoiv). Condemned as bad Greek, but used by both Luke and John. See on Mark ii. 4.

Robertson's NT Word Studies

6:55 {Ran about} (periedramon). Vivid constative aorist picturing the excited pursuit of Jesus as the news spread that he was in Gennesaret. {On their beds} (epi tois krabattois). Pallets like that of the man let down through the roof (#Mr 2:4). {Where they heard he was} (hopou ekouon hoti estin). Imperfect tense of akouw (repetition), present indicative estin retained in indirect discourse.
