Como esto ser el día que el Hijo del hombre se manifestar.

Ver. 30. Even thus shall it be in the day when the son of man is revealed .] In his power, when he comes to avenge himself on the Jews; and when he is revealed from heaven in flaming fire, at the last day. As in the days of Noah and Lot, men lived in great carnality and security, thoughtless and fearless of danger, so were the Jews before the destruction of their city and temple, buoying themselves up with deliverance to the last; and such will be the times of indolence and supineness, before the coming of the day of the Lord to judgment: and as the destruction of the old world, and men of Sodom, and the adjacent parts, was sudden and unexpected, so was the destruction of Jerusalem, and so will be the burning of the world; that day will come, as a thief in the night: and as in the above calamities, there was a remnant saved, who were taken care of; as Noah and his family in tim ark, and as Lot, and his wife and daughters were snatched out of Sodom, when the rest were destroyed; so when the Christians removed from Jerusalem, and went to Pella, being directed by a divine oracle, then came on the siege of Jerusalem f546 ; and when all the elect will be gathered in, and brought to faith and repentance, then shall the earth, and the works in it be burnt up: and as these judgments were universal, so was that upon the people of the Jews: and such will be the general desolation in the last day.
Matthew Henry Commentary
Verses 20-37 - The kingdom of God was among the Jews, or rather within some of them It was a spiritual kingdom, set up in the heart by the power of Divin grace. Observe how it had been with sinners formerly, and in what stat the judgments of God, which they had been warned of, found them. Her is shown what a dreadful surprise this destruction will be to the secure and sensual. Thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man i revealed. When Christ came to destroy the Jewish nation by the Roma armies, that nation was found in such a state of false security as i here spoken of. In like manner, when Jesus Christ shall come to judg the world, sinners will be found altogether regardless; for in lik manner the sinners of every age go on securely in their evil ways, an remember not their latter end. But wherever the wicked are, who ar marked for eternal ruin, they shall be found by the judgments of God __________________________________________________________________
