SEV Biblia, Chapter 13:17

antes llamando a su criado que le servía le dijo: Echame ésta allá fuera, y tras ella cierra la puerta.

John Gill's Bible Commentary

Ver. 17. Then he called his
servants that ministered unto him , etc.] His domestic servants that waited on him: and said, put now this [woman] out from me ; she not willing to depart at once, he ordered her to be put out immediately by force; using her and speaking of her in a very rude and scandalous manner, calling her this, leaving it to be supplied, as they would understand it, this base woman, this strumpet, etc. and bolt the door after her ; that she might not return; this was more disgraceful still.

Matthew Henry Commentary

Verses 1-20 - From henceforward
David was followed with one trouble after another Adultery and murder were David's sins, the like sins among his children were the beginnings of his punishment: he was too indulgent to his children. Thus David might trace the sins of his children to his ow misconduct, which must have made the anguish of the chastisement worse Let no one ever expect good treatment from those who are capable of attempting their seduction; but it is better to suffer the greates wrong than to commit the least sin.
