VERSE (10) -
Mt 26:14-16 Lu 22:3-6 Joh 13:2,30

SEV Biblia, Chapter 14:10

Entonces Judas Iscariote, uno de los doce, vino a los príncipes de los sacerdotes, para entregrselo.

John Gill's Bible Commentary

Ver. 10. And
Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve , etc..] Apostles of Christ; who was the principal person that had indignation at the woman, and murmured against her, for the profusion of the ointment: went unto the chief priests ; as soon as this affair was over, and Christ had defended the woman's conduct to his shame and silence: he immediately went out of the house, where they were, and set out from Bethany to Jerusalem; and understanding the chief priests were in consultation together at Caiaphas's house, how to apprehend Jesus, and put him to death, went directly to them, unsent for, and unthought of by them: to betray him unto them ; which Satan had put into his heart, and what his avarice and revenge for the late action of the woman, and Christ's defence of it, prompted him to; (see Gill on Matthew 26:14).

Matthew Henry Commentary

Verses 1-11 - Did
Christ pour out his soul unto death for us, and shall we think an thing too precious for him? Do we give him the precious ointment of ou best affections? Let us love him with all the heart, though it is common for zeal and affection to be misunderstood and blamed; an remember that charity to the poor will not excuse any from particula acts of piety to the Lord Jesus. Christ commended this woman's piou attention to the notice of believers in all ages. Those who honou Christ he will honour. Covetousness was Judas' master lust, and tha betrayed him to the sin of betraying his Master; the devil suited his temptation to that, and so conquered him. And see what wicke contrivances many have in their sinful pursuits; but what appears to forward their plans, will prove curses in the end.

Robertson's NT Word Studies

14:10 {He that was one of the twelve} (ho heis twn dwdeka). Note the article here, "the one of the twelve," Matthew has only heis, "one." Some have held that Mark here calls
Judas the primate among the twelve. Rather he means to call attention to the idea that he was the one of the twelve who did this deed.
