SEV Biblia, Chapter 10:6

Y si hubiere allí algn hijo de paz, vuestra paz reposar sobre l; y si no, se volver a vosotros.

Clarke's Bible Commentary - Luke 10:6

Verse 6. The son of
peace] In the Jewish style, a man who has any good or bad quality is called the son of it. Thus, wise men are called the children of wisdom, Matt. xi. 19; chap. vii. 35. So, likewise, what a man is doomed to, he is called the son of, as in Eph. ii. 3, wicked men are styled the children of wrath: so Judas is called the son of perdition, John xvii. 12; and a man who deserves to die is called, 2 Sam. xii. 5, a son of death. Son of peace in the text not only means a peaceable, quiet man, but one also of good report for his uprightness and benevolence. It would have been a dishonour to this mission, had the missionaries taken up their lodgings with those who had not a good report among them who were without.

John Gill's Bible Commentary

Ver. 6. And if the son of
peace be there , etc.] If there be any elect person or persons in the house, whom God has chosen to partake of peace by the blood of Christ, and the benefits arising from it; and of a conscience peace in their souls, upon the best foundation; and of eternal peace in the world to come, though yet in a state of nature; and which may be known by this sign; your peace shall rest upon it : the salutation, or wish of peace, shall be well taken, and gratefully received; and upon this you will be kindly invited into the house, and used well by, those of the family; if not, it shall turn to you again : if there are no sons of peace, no elect persons there, your salutation, or wish of peace and prosperity to the family, will be despised and rejected, and will return to you without any good effect upon them.

Matthew Henry Commentary

Verses 1-16 -
Christ sent the seventy disciples, two and two, that they migh strengthen and encourage one another. The ministry of the gospel call men to receive Christ as a Prince and a Saviour; and he will surel come in the power of his Spirit to all places whither he sends his faithful servants. But the doom of those who receive the grace of God in vain, will be very fearful Those who despise the faithful minister of Christ, who think meanly of them, and look scornfully upon them will be reckoned as despisers of God and Christ.

Vincent's NT Word Studies

6. If a son of
peace be there. So Rev. A Hebraism, referring to the character of the head of the house, and the tone of the household. Compare Job xxi. 9.

Robertson's NT Word Studies

10:6 {A son of
peace} (huios eirenes). A Hebraism, though some examples occur in the vernacular _Koin_ papyri. It means one inclined to peace, describing the head of the household. {Shall rest} (epanapaesetai). Second future passive of epanapauw, a late double compound (epi, ana) of the common verb pauw. {It shall turn to you again} (ef' humas anakamyei). Common verb anakamptw, to bend back, return. The peace in that case will bend back with blessing upon the one who spoke it.
